Does Anyone know if at conversion Barclays will use the original card open date or the new conversion date for the account opening date reported to the credit bureaus?
I am trying to find out for reasons of Average Age of Accounts w the credit bureaus and it's impact on my score.
Thanks in advance!
Should I cancel the Chase AARP before it automatically converted to Barclays AARP Essential? Seems Barclays AARP Essential is not as useful as Chase. I can get $100 bonus if I directly apply Barclays AARP Essential, and if it is the converted one, I will get nothing.
Got a snail mail packet from Barclay claiming AARP Visa from @Chase to be replaced with Barclay AARP® Essential Rewards Mastercard® from Barclays. effective Sept 21st
Considering canceling after using a Chase offer McDonalds $2.00
Today 7/23 I received the official notification from Barclays. My cc will be converted to the Barclays AARP Essential Rewards. My Chase AARP credit card will stop working on 9/19/21.
Very important note about AARP Travel Rewards Mastercard - 0% Foreign Transaction Fees

If I already have the AARP card with Chase, would Barclay give me one now also?
I would much rather have gas and restaurants for 3%. It would make more sense to have drug stores and medical expenses at 2%.
If the card doesn't hurt 5/24 as it changes from chase to Barclay... Keep for free $12 a year?
These seem pretty useless to me. Anyway to product change the card to another Chase card before the transition? or product change to another more useful Barcley's card (if there are any)?
