Our Verdict
The scary places are closed competitors, bit of a cheap move by Burger King. Should be able to use a GPS spoofer to get within the 300 ft.
Didn’t pokemon go do this and get sued?
Anyone can get sued for almost anything. There’s a big wide gap between suing someone and actually winning though.
and only money bridges that gap.
So…the Burger Kings near Sleepy Hollow (home of the Headless Horseman and Washington Irving’s home) and the Amityville Horror House are excluded? I call BS on this promo!
Hey BK, if you’re reading this, I live within a ten minute drive of IRS headquarters. Considering that you inverted to Canada to avoid them, could you make that a “Scary Place” too?
Happens I was at Myrtle Beach last week — and innocently came upon a profoundly scary site…. a semi-open air beach bar, flying the flag of a certain, m…… political figure…. so very high above all crowded round the dance floor and bar…… message to all was no fear here, no masks, no social distancing…. and bouncers were on hand to evict folks w/ masks & cameras. (don’t believe me, google north myrtle beach and “Shag dancing”…. and corona. One similar stupid event two weeks ago there has already killed – sic – five folks, including the organizer… Reminded me of the ole’ Bond Live & Let Die movie….)
Happens there’s a Burger King in nearby Little River…. did a take-out there. (BK app as per usual screwed up the order) But oh my, you want a really “scary” BK location — consider that Hory County (covers all the “grand strand”) made masks “optional” in public places come Nov. 1st. 🙁 Heard the herd say ya only live once.
self-update…. Myrtle Beach yesterday contradicted Hory County’s mask “optional” move…. ps, for the curious, we were rather “impressed” by the extraordinary safety measures we witnessed at two different Wyndham resorts we stayed at (sic — at 15K/night even for full kitchen suites) …. Miss the beach …. but not the anxiety.
I live in Dayton and I wouldn’t make the drive to that Wendy’s just for a free whopper. Not in an amazing area, and the gas would basically be the price of a whopper from the BK down the road from my house.
I actually think this is kind of cruel in an economy where food service workers are losing their jobs every day.
Fast food chains are actually thriving
Those are convenient locations.
Living in the US at the moment should be enough to qualify visiting a “Scary Place”.
Who is upvoting such a brave and deep comment?
People who have never left the US.
That Chic-fil-A in Philly became a scary and dangerous fast food place.

The Birmingham one is in a pretty crappy area–I used to work about a mile down the road when I was struggling to find work in my field, and had to occasionally do a cash drop at a Regions branch roughly a block away–so I would definitely recommend using a GPS spoofer or going during daylight hours.
