Capital One Cards Now Have In-Store Offers

Capital One now has special offers linked to your cards which can be used for cash back on In-Store purchases.

They’ve long had a shopping portal for cashback when clicking through for online purchases, and this latest addition aligns them with many other banks who offer similar, e.g. Chase Offers, BofA Deals, U.S. Bank Offers, Wells Fargo Offers. I’m not sure if Capital One uses the backend system that those other banks do.

We’ve added this to our Complete List of Card-Linked Reward Programs.

How to see more In-Store offers. Go to your C1VX account, click Offers, click In-Store, click Clear Filters, click In-Store, and more offers will appear. Then get more offers to stores you probably do not plan to shop but quantity instead of quality results. Rmemeber offers only last 2 days so do not click unless you plan to shop at that store immediately.

Wait! We only have 2-7 days to use the coupon? Well, they were stores I have no intention of visiting soon. I got 7 offers and all of them are stores I have never entered or plan to enter. I assume the company needs to improve their algorithm and AI prompts. Single middle aged man with teenage son but no pets and these are the stores it sends me.
Lane Bryant (BBW women’s clothes)
Sephora (women’s makeup)
Anthropologie (young women’s clothes)
Tommy Hilfiger (expensive teenager clothes. He grows too fast we are going to Walmart)
Petco (pet store)
MattressFirm (maybe some years away)
Marathon Sports (I have knee injuries so no running marathons)

Isn’t funny that vast amounts of data are collected on us for marketing, and yet the marketing still sucks?

I wonder if we can use CardPointers app or MaxRewards app to collect our Capital One offers just like Chase and AMEX.

Here is hoping we avoid having to earn useless gift card points that are never a sufficient balance to buy a $10 gift card. Give me Capital One Venture X award travel points and miles or cash.

I logged into Capital One and clicked on View All Offers under “Shopping Offers.” I got Exclusive Offers for You and then filtered for “in-store.” After pressing on “Clear Filters and View More Offers” a FEW times, I got 17 in-store offers. Nothing great for me – e.g. Lane Bryant Plus Size clothing for women – I am a guy, but better than nothing.

You are lucky. I only got 7 and none are stores I have any intention of shopping. I clicked on some and discovered they have only 2 days left. It would be convenient if CardPointers and MaxRewards apps automatically clipped these coupons just before we entered the store.

Is this cashback that can be converted to miles?

Yes. Capital One Venture X offers are converted into miles. Whereas if you use the Capital One Shopping Portal you earn points towards a $10 store gift card to a store you probably do not have near you or want to buy from.

I’ve seen this for a few weeks now, I think it’s a different backend. I never saw the vendors on BofA/Chase/USB.

I have offers for Petco, Claire’s, and two local restaurants. That’s the whole list.

That’s great. I show 7 on m VX snd 7 on my Savor. Even better if they reduce the “up to three billing cycles” posting.
