Update: This card is subject to the 5/24 rule.
Reminder: We don’t use credit card affiliate links, I believe bloggers that do will receive their direct links (and third parties such as creditcards.com) sometime today. If you want to support other bloggers that do use these links, you might want to wait until their links are live.
Quick note: This is the direct application page (currently no landing page). Doesn’t mention the 100,000 point offer, I’m 99% sure this link has that offer attached but you may want to wait.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve is now available for sign up officially (after a previous false start). I’m sure everybody is familiar with the card benefits, but just in case:

Our Verdict
This card is pretty ridiculous in terms of value, even if you don’t use any of the card benefits (including the travel credits) and pay the $450 annual fee then you’re still getting a cash sign up bonus of $550 ($1,000 – $450). If you redeem the points through the Chase UR portal for travel then that jumps by another $500 (or you could transfer to their point partners instead). If you use the travel credit this year and next, add another $600 (or whatever you value that at), plus lounge access.
The big question is whether the Chase 5/24 rule applies to this card or not It does apply. Â If you do apply for this card, remember that Chase combines multiple inquiries into a single hard pull – so it might make sense to apply for another card (just keep in mind how that might affect you being over/under 5/24). Share your experiences in the comments and goodluck!
