Yesterday Hyatt has announced that Exhale Spa is being fully integrated into the World of Hyatt program. Members with elite status will also receive elite benefits at Exhale spa’s as well.

Earning Points

  • Hyatt members will earn 10x Hyatt base points per $1 spent at Exhale locations. You’ll also earn the standard bonus points based on elite status:
    • 10% for Discoverist
    • 20% for Explorist
    • 30% for Globalist
  • Chase Hyatt credit card holders will earn 4x points per $1 spent at Exhale locations

Redeeming Points

Points can be redeemed on a fixed basis:

  • 2,000 points for a fitness class
  • 12,000 points for 60 minute massage or facial

Elite Benefits

  • Globalist members will receive free access to individual Exhale classes when staying at Hyatt properties (this includes award stays and points + cash stays)
  • Explorist members will receive one complimentary ‘Week of Wellness’ (unlimited fitness classes)

Our Verdict

How useful this is will depend on how you value Hyatt points and how you value the Exhale services. Personally I would never pay 12,000 points for a 60 minute massage or facial and I’m not a fan of group fitness classes at all. Exhale is obviously a premium brand so I doubt I’d ever pay cash and earn points either. Keep in mind that free week of classes and free classes during stays, might be one way to try them out to see if they are for you.05 Hyatt has also confirmed that Exhale is being added as a new brand for the ‘Explore 5 get free night’ promotion.
