Amazon offers a small signup bonus on the Chase Amazon credit card of $30 in Amazon credit and a $10 bonus on the Amazon store card.
They are now offering a higher bonus for Prime members, both main Prime members and secondary Prime members. You’ll see the offer if you’re signed in to an Amazon account which has Prime.
- A $70 Amazon.com Gift Card will be instantly loaded into your Amazon.com account upon the approval of your credit card application for the Amazon credit card issued by Chase.
- A $40 Amazon.com Gift Card will be instantly loaded into your Amazon.com account upon the approval of your credit card application for the Amazon store card issued by Synchrony Bank
The store card offer is being advertised as a “Limited Time Offer”, while the Chase-card offer does not mention that. It’s possible it’s been around for a while.
The Fine Print
- The bonus is in the form of an Amazon gift card, it’s not a cash bonus.
- Increased offer is only available for Prime members.
Our Verdict
Neither of these offers are especially good, but the store card version is slightly interesting due to the fact  that Prime members can now get 5% cashback on all Amazon purchases with the Amazon store card. Those who are Prime members can now get a $40 signup bonus, instead of the regular $10 bonus.
I’m sitting this one out, but for someone who shops a whole lot on Amazon, the store card is looking more of an option. Especially since it’s issued by Synchrony who usually pulls Transunion.
