The Offer
Fox Business reports that Kmart is running a promotion to “cash in your Toys R Us gift cards” at Kmart. In reality, you aren’t cashing out the gift cards (which have no value anymore since April 21 due to the Toys R Us bankruptcy). It’s just basically a promotion to former Toys/Babies R Us customers into a Kmart store:
- Bring any Toys/Babies R Us gift card to Kmart and get $10 in FREECASH which can be used toward any purchase of $10 or more. The Toys/Babies R Us gift card can have no balance and still be eligible.
Two other promotions being offered for parents: $5 in FREECASH points toward any toy purchase or $5+. Kmart is also running a promotion on diapers and baby wipes purchases through June 2.
Our Verdict
Sounds like an easy $10 if you have a Kmart nearby and can find an old, empty Toys R Us gift card. Not sure if a printed e-gift card will work for this promotion.
