The Fine Print

Our Verdict

Similar deal also available for Kmart, but only for $5. Nice thing about the Sears deal is that it can be used online.

Sears/KMart offers have always been YMMV in terms of receiving, activating and redeeming. To save yourself rejection after waiting in line it’s best to select a non-sale item. A woman in front of me a few days ago who had also activated the “SNOW” text $7 offer found out the hard way after a 10 minute wait. I then followed with a pair of $7.99 socks (no markdown), redeemed the text offer along with 99 cents in points and was on my way.

Anyone know if this is valid at Sears Outlet?
T&C shows cannot be used at “closing store”, is the only way to verify is to call directly?
Also, what’s good to get that’s slightly above $7?

In case it’s useful to anyone it seems the Sears in Brooklyn is closing pretty soon. FWIW.

How is Shop Your Way membership verified? When you check out in the store?

Yes, my mom went to the store and gave my cell number which I received the coupon on and the employee said that I was not a member, so I quickly signed up online and she was able to check out with it a few minutes later.

Previous versions had exclusions of closing stores—is that true of this one too?

Getting “We’re sorry, there aren’t any items in your cart that are eligible for this coupon.”

Yes I am getting the same error message. Is it that with the extension of the date they know excluding items which already have discounted prices ? Or is it in store shopping only not just pick up in store ?

Yes, the same items that worked perfectly well yesterday (socks) are triggering that error message today. I can’t find anything that works today with store pickup, even when it is available now, sold by Sears, and over $7.00.

I have a store near me for pickup so I was able to make full use of this. Created ShopYourWay accounts for all my family members who have phones, texted to get codes, and placed multiple orders for $7.xx items that we needed anyway. Awesome.

Sears has no free shipping unless you order over $59. Was hoping for something free LOL. No Sears near me for pickup.

Got it to work. Learned that all items had to be in stock. My first effort with an item not available for pickup until 26FEB failed.

You wouldn’t want to pay for something that far in advance at Sears anyway. They may be out of business by then. LOL
