Wells Fargo was one of the few credit card issuers that didn’t offer a free credit score to cardholders, in an unannounced move Wells Fargo cardholders can now access their FICO Bankcard Score 2 based on Experian data. Unlike the classic score, this FICO score has a range of 250-900 (classic is 300-850). You can view a full list of ways to get your FICO score for free here. Here is how to access your FICO score with Wells Fargo:
- Download one of the Wells Fargo mobile applications (Apple, Android & Windows)
- Underneath “Go Far Rewards” click “View Your FICO Credit Score)
This is presumably part of the changes that Wells Fargo has made to their rewards program. Â It’s always good to see another card issuer make free FICO scores available, this is pretty much just a standard benefit that all credit cards offer at this stage. In addition to knowing your credit score, it’s generally a good idea to monitor your credit. This can be done for free quite easily, you can view how to do this here.
