Update: This is actually a Qantas transfer bonus and not American Express one. There is also an American Express transfer bonus for another 20% currently until June 30th, 2019.
The Offer
- Some American Express members are being offered a transfer bonus of 15% or 30% when transferring to Qantas. Normally you can transfer 1,000 MR points and receive 1,000 Qantas miles, during this promotion you’ll receive 1,150 or 1,300 miles if you’re targeted (1:1.15 or 1.3).

Our Verdict
Qantas was just added as a transfer partner and it looks like some people were targeted for this offer at the same time. This is obviously the first time we’ve seen a transfer bonus to Qantas. It’s interesting that American Express look to be favoring these YMMV transfer bonuses rather than making them available to everybody. Other current transfer bonuses include:
