75K limit? Last time I transferred 800K for an awesome safari.

and thats why its now limited to 75k because amex doesnt want to see others go on a safari…

I’ve never been targeted for this (10 months) and finally was today. Thanks DoC

No mention of a 75,000 mile limit on my account. In fact it says I can transfer my entire balance of 206,000 MR for 267,800 VS miles.

Hey doc. Heads up it doesn’t appear that I have a limit for transfer. Checked after omaat made no mention of such limit.

I got the 30% offer on my AMEX Plat! How did you find out about the 75k limit? I linked my account and read the terms, it only shows a minimum of 1,000. I searched the entire page and don’t see 75k. I also put 130,000 in the transfer box and it show I would get 169k on the other end.

I haven’t tried actually submitting which I am guessing is where the bad news comes in.

Yikes, and doing some test bookings, for a trip to Europe on Delta One through Virgin it would be 180k points for two but $3k in cash. That’s a bummer.

Two things will cause crazy high “fees” with Delta…
1) Booking a return on any airline from London (worst of all) or any airport in the UK. They (government) really stick it to premium cabin tickets with stunning “fees”, especially for long distance flights. And…
2) Never book a one-way return from Europe (anywhere in Europe) on Delta metal; they tack on a big fat fee. That’s why people here are seeing crazy numbers. If on Delta, book round-trip and the fees disappear; and on any airline, always avoid flying out of the UK on longhaul J or F.

Are you sure the 75,000 isn’t just the max number of points in your account you can transfer (has to be in increments of 1000)?

I have the 30%, no 75k limit. The only limit given is: Membership Rewards point transfers that result in more than 999,999 Flying Club Miles will not be accepted.

do you guys received the targeted offer via email? ive never been targeted. but i only have an Everyday card – is that why? i downgraded from Plat 2 years ago but kept the Everyday open to preserve my MR. does amex only target cardholders that hold a more ‘premium’ card (ie: Plat/PRG)?

I got targeted 30% and hadn’t even made or linked a flying club account. No 75k limit either, mine said 999,999 maximum.

Minimum transfer is 1,000 Membership Rewards points. Redeem for this exclusive offer from 12:00 a.m. MT on May 1, 2019 to 11:59 p.m. MT on July 1, 2019, to receive 30% additional Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles. Additional Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles will be awarded at the time of transfer.

No Limit. End Date 2019/07/01 11:59 MT – I put 200k and it gives me 260k

75,000 points limit is not true or not applicable anymore. I just did 76,000 MR points transfer (98,800 VA miles) and it completed.

Edit: never mind the points transfer canceled

When I logged into MR point page, it does not say 75K cap; It says “Membership Rewards point transfers that result in more than 999,999 Flying Club Miles will not be accepted”.

Lucky I was not targeted. I will feel pretty bad just transfering 220k UR points to VA 2 days ago.
