Last night I noticed that most major merchants have gone missing from the Discover portal. Walmart, Macy’s, you name it; they’re all gone. The only ones left are some rental car companies and a few others. Even Sears which was promised to be around until August 31 is gone completely from the portal.
We reached out to the Discover media team on Twitter and they assured us that this is just an IT problem which is currently being worked on.
@Chucksth We are aware of this issue and working to get it working again soon. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. *Zack

Today, I headed over to FrequentMiler’s portal alerts and – lo and behold – the list of ‘Cashback Decreases’ is exceedingly long, much of it reflecting the missing Discover portal which is so often the highest cashback rate. Apparently, the feed they use with the Discover info is also affected by the Discover Gone AWOL problem.
It’s going back and forth: earlier today it was showing properly, now it reverted back. In any case, we are assured by Discover that this issue is temporary and should be fixed shortly.
Others say that they are not affected by this issue and the Discover team indicated that this problem is not impacting everyone.
