Uber & Lyft Finally Coming to Nevada?!? by Miles to Memories. There is a lot I don’t like about Uber & Lyft, but taxis in Nevada are a whole different level of corrupt. It’s hilarious to see how angry these taxi companies and drivers get when they have a little bit of competition which makes it harder for them to rip off customers. It’ll take awhile for Uber & Lyft to get set up, but when they do expect some nice promos to launch the new services.
There are a lot of things wrong with both services and in some respects they are becoming worse than the taxi companies they are somewhat replacing. My biggest current gripe is that they’ve made little to no effort to cater to people with disabilities. Uber also has a massive corporate issue with sexism in the workplace as well from what I’ve read.
I also have concerns with how they handle their staff (or should I say independent contractors?) At the moment they are able to dominate the market because both sides aren’t playing by the same rules.
