The Fine Print

  • This bonus offer is open to all new Rapid Rewards Dining® members without a dining profile. To qualify, you must create a dining profile by January 5, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time, including creating a web login, and remain opted in to receive emails from Rapid Rewards Dining with a valid, deliverable email address. You must also continue to satisfy any other applicable Active Member level criteria to earn this bonus.
  • Within 30 days of creating your dining profile, you must dine at any participating restaurant, bar, or club and spend at least $25 (including tax and tip) on your check. Within 30 days of that visit, you must also complete an online review of the restaurant, bar, or club.

Our Verdict

Purchasing a gift card at a participating restaurant (and completing a review) should work fine – this 1,000 point offer comes and goes. Points earned through regular Rapid Rewards Dining do count toward the Southwest Companion Pass, but these bonus points do not count, as per the terms.

I like the idea for some points but I don’t know about spending a minimum of $25 at my nearby Burger King. Guess I could buy a gift card in addition to my meal.
