It’s now possible to transfer your Starwood’s Preferred Guest (SPG) points to Aegean Air at a ratio of 1:1 (5,000 bonus points when transferring 20,000+ points). I’m not really that familiar with Aegean Air, but here are a few bits and pieces that might help you:
- Award chart (partner awards here), one way awards are available for half the listed prices
- Fuel surcharges for award flights are the same as paid flights, so do a dummy booking on ITA matrix to find out how much they are
- Partner awards must be booked by phone/e-mail
- Caribbean is included in North America
- North Africa is included in Europe
It’s only possible to transfer points to Aegean Air with SPG (no other flexible points transfer there) and I have a surplus of airline miles and a lack of SPG points, so I personally won’t be transferring any points even though there are some sweet spots on the award chart.
