The Offer

The eBay/Paypal credit card has been on a roll with offers this holiday season. Here is the wrap-up offer, valid through December 24th.

Earn 10x points on all purchases. Max of 4,400 points, or $440 in spend.

I got this email and presumably most eBay/Paypal credit cardholders got it as well.

Allow up to 2 billing cycles for your bonus Reward points to post to your eBay MasterCard account

Our Verdict

I usually only bother with the statement credit offers from the eBay/Paypal credit card, not the points offers since they are typically lackluster. But at 10x rewards, I’m a buyer! With the max of $440 in spend it isn’t huge, but still worth something.

Two things to bear in mind:

The charge has to post by the 24th. If you want to do the spend online, better to do it today earlier to give it time to clear.
There is a max of 50k points you can earn on an eBay/Paypal credit card per year.

How much are these points worth when redeeming for cash/PayPal deposit?

You can get $50 deposited into your Paypal account for 6000 points, so each point is worth $0.0083. You can sometimes do better than that when you redeem for gift cards and they have a “sale” on gift card redemptions.

I got this offer, but sadly I hit my 50k point annual max a few months ago. I think it’s pretty misleading to send this offer to people who have already earned their cap. I’d love to hear that this offer doesn’t count toward the cap, but nothing in the T&C leads me to think that this is true. The offer’s T&C even mentions the 50k cap.
