The Offer
Check your AmEx Offers for the following deal:
- Earn a one-time $98 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Business Card to make a single purchase of $98 or more on a Walmart Business+ Membership online at business.walmart.com/plus by 1/31/2025.
The Fine Print
- Offer valid on a Walmart Business+ Membership purchased online only at US website business.walmart.com/plus.
- Excludes all other Walmart purchases.
- If you receive a free trial, charges may not post to your account until the trial has lapsed. Charges must post to your account before 1/31/2025 in order to qualify.
- Please note if you purchase a membership, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your membership will automatically renew for another membership period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable membership fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law.
- Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Our Verdict
Easy freebie, though you’ll still get stuck with the sales tax. I assume this offer is found only on AmEx business cards.
Looking quickly at the benefits page, it seems Walmart Business+ is totally different from the personal Walmart+. For example, the business version still has a $35 shipping minimum, but it also has 2% back in Walmart Business Rewards. Hopefully someone in the comments can chime in with a better comparison and analysis whether it’s worth holding both or of the two.
Walmart Business+ is similar to Walmart+ personal, except that it adds a 2% rewards benefit on orders $250+ and it does not have the Paramount+ benefit.
Personally I was considering cancelling my paid Walmart+ personal membership and switch to business. But I got deterred from all the reader comments on this prior deal who had issues with using the Business+ membership.
Walmart terminated my membership – and the Platinum card has already been canceled. Going to see if they’ll refund me via a check. I’ll report back.
If your membership is canceled make sure you check for the refund and that it includes sales tax. Mine didn’t include tax
Correction – the credit without tax was the Amex offer credit. The WBiz fee isn’t refunded automatically even if they cancel it on their end. You have to call.
if you do any dropshipping or buying groups either direct or ship to home, do NOT get walmart+ business, you WILL get canned.
DP – I did this the last time it came around (AMEX Business Simply Cash). I was buying personal items, not business items, and after about a month Walmart took it away because I was not using it “as intended”.
did they refund the yearly fee that was prepaid?
What’s a business item?
Another conflicting DP, been using the business account for various small personal items without issue for several months.
Does Walmart for Business get free shipping on retail orders?
Worth it overall for a “business?”
The type of items you can buy on Walmart for Business is not the same as what is offered on the consumer Walmart website.
This is was on my AMEX business Plat cards. The consumer cards offer Walmart Plus for free witha. monthly credit.
Does this work on the free plan or do you have to buy a plan other than free one?
0/4 on my business cards
Is there any cashback portal which lists Walmart+, didnt find any .
I think Walmart just by itself should work. United and AA have Walmart.
Last time there was a $100 off $100 promo when signing up for Walmart Business+ that could be stacked with the Amex offer.
