Aeroplan Updates Mile Expiration Policy, Miles Will Now Expire After 18 Months Of Inactivity (Previously 12)

Aeroplan has updated it’s mileage expiration policy. Previously miles expired after a period of 12 months of inactivity (any earning or redeeming is considered activity) that has been increased by 6 months to 18 months of inactivity. Air Canada was expected to launch the new Aeroplan program in Q3 of 2020, that has now been pushed back to Q4 of 2020 and I think we’re seeing this updated policy as a result of that. Obviously increasing the mileage expiration period is good news, but I wish airlines would just move to miles that don’t expire.

Oh, so now Air Canada is trying to “help” its customers? Must be like a foreign language to them.
