Our Verdict
This is sold by Accor Brazil but open to everybody. The best deal is a yearly absolute plan, this works out to be a little bit more than $1,000 at the current exchange rate and the 30% discount (~$1,011). This would give you the following:
- 5,000 monthly rewards points (60,000 total)
- 5,000 quarterly rewards points (15,000 total)
- 1,000 monthly status points (12,000 total)
For 75,000 total points and 12,000 status points. 75,000 points is worth €1,500 towards hotel stays (it’s a flat rate. Accor has a revenue based program where 2,000 points = €40 off the booking price). This means you’re basically paying €878 for €1,500 in points and you get enough status points for gold status and close to platinum status (14,000 points. Keep in mind you’d be getting 2,000 status points this year and then 10,000 next year, not 12,000 in a calendar year).
This absolute tier also lets you pool with family and friends, so you could do two of these in two player mode if you needed more credit. Personally I know I will end up messing this up/not getting great ‘value’ (yes it is fixed price, but I wouldn’t necessarily be staying at Accor properties in the first place) so I’ll skip this deal.
