Some of you may have noticed that Amazon has been popping up with a new kind of credit for choosing slow shipping:
Amazon has lots of different kinds of slow-shipping credits, such as $1-3 digital credit, Prime Pantry shipping credit, $3 credit for anything on Amazon, or even instant discounts off the purchase. Now, they’ve added this new one: $10 in credit toward Furniture, Mattresses, or Area Rugs. These rewards expires on September 30, 2017.
$10 credit is the highest we’ve seen, and Amazon is willing to give that kind of credit due to the high cost of these items – it’s almost of like a coupon advertisement. I’ve gotten this $10 offer even on some small purchases. Hard to know the algorithms of why the system sometimes gives this offer or another.
It’s worth noting that while most things in those categories are expensive items, there are some accessories items within those categories which are not which means it’s possible to get some free stuff with this $10 credit, though it’ll be tricky to find something actually useful to you. Always double check that the $10 credit is applying at checkout since some items might not be eligible for the credit.
I earned one of these $10 credits, and today I was playing around to see if there are cheap items it works on. Here are a few random product links you can look at (these links are affiliate links).Â

- Cheap mattress items I can’t seem to get any of them to work, though there are some cheap mattresses under $100 which it works on.
