Currently there is a widespread problem with the Hilton Honors American Express Business Credit Card. Cardholders that applied for an offer of 175,000 points after $8,000 in spend are receiving only 140,000 points when meeting the spend requirement. The issue seems to be happening when a referral link was used instead of the standard public or affiliate link. Interestingly on the American Express side it shows the correct 175,000 was transferred but on Hilton’s side only 140,000 points post.
We were made aware of the issue by twitter user @TravelandCredit and contacted American Express. After some digging and research they provided the following statement:
We have identified the issue and are working to resolve it as quickly as we can. We will contact affected Card Members directly.
