Via r/churning, American Express no longer keeps the crediting for cancelled Delta Stays bookings. If the booking gets cancelled the credit gets reversed.
The American Express Delta cards (Gold, Platinum, Reserve) offer a statement credit for bookings on the Delta Stays platform. Apparently, when people booked and cancelled they would still keep the statement credit. Going forward, those credits get reversed.
Hopefully/presumably your credit meter gets reset when the credit is reversed so that you can book again and get the credit.
