American Express Rewards Checking (personal) is offering a special deal:

• Through July 31, earn 4 Membership Rewards Points for every $2 of eligible Debit Card purchases (on up to $1,500 in spend). That’s 4 times more points than the 1 point you would typically earn on every $2 of spend.

The Fine Print

• Starting June 3, 2024, and through July 31, 2024, you will earn three (3) additional Membership Rewards points for every two (2) dollars of the first $1,500 in eligible purchases made with your Debit Card. The three (3) additional points is on top of the one (1) point you already earn for every two dollars of eligible Debit Card purchases and is in addition to other offers that you may be eligible for. Purchases made by all Debit Card Members on the Account are eligible for the additional points but will count towards a single $1,500 maximum. After you reach the $1,500 maximum you will continue to earn 1 Membership Rewards^® point for every $2 of eligible Debit Card purchases.

Our Verdict

2x points per dollar is nice. This is just a small deal due to the $1,500 limit. A lot of readers have the Blue Business Plus which earns a similar 2x MR points per dollar.
