• Get a $2 statement credit after using your enrolled Card to spend $5 or more in a single eligible transaction via contactless feature by 1/15/2021. Limit of 5 statement credits (total of $10). See terms.

The Fine Print

•  An “eligible transaction” means a purchase made with your enrolled American Express Card on or before 1/15/2021 using the contactless feature. This offer expires on 1/15/2021.
• Offer only valid for purchases made with your Card via a contactless feature. “Contactless” payment is defined as tapping your Card on the card reader. If you cannot use the contactless feature on your Card for the purchase for any reason your purchase will not qualify for this offer.
• You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as eligible for this offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the Merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date).

Our Verdict

People are seeing this offer on the Gold, Platinum and Hilton cards, possibly others too. Should be easy enough to make small purchases at the self checkout in the grocery store or at the vending machine or maybe at the gas station.

Note: there is a $5 minimum per transaction to be eligible.
