  • Reservations must be made online at hilton.com, via the HHonors App or by calling 1-800-445-8667.
  • Offer valid only on room rate and room charges
  • Offer not valid for stays that are paid for before or after the promotion start and end dates

Our Verdict

This works out to be a 20% discount if you spend exactly $300, but it gets better because you should be able to stack it with either of these general hotel offers if you have them in your American Express dashboard (no Twitter hashtag unfortunately).

  • Spend $250 or more with a registered Amex card and receive a $50 statement credit.
  • Spend $100 or more with a registered Amex card and receive a $25 statement credit.

The best discount you’d be able to get would be $110 statement credit on $300 or a discount of ~37%. At the moment the only real Hilton promotion for paid stays is double points which is kind of lame (let me know if I missed any others). Although if you have any upcoming paid stays or travel plans then this could be worth chasing.

I have a Hilton stay coming up and the total amount charged to my AMEX will be $301.05, however $28.61 of that is taxes. Does that matter for the Hilton $60 off $300 deal?

Nope, total charge is all that matters. I even stayed 2 weeks and ended up swiping 300 a card to pay down the total bill. That fulfilled this offer on multiple cards.

Wow. Got my $60 after a couple of days after checking out. Going to another Hilton next month, will use a different card.

If you have the $35 off $175 Hampton by Hilton offer added to your card, will it stack with this offer?

Check the exclusions. It won’t.

I believe this offer only apply to Hilton not any other brands such as hampton inn.

Perfect timing. I am literally staying at a Hilton Garden Inn next 7 weeks for my work. Between the two cards that had $50 off $250 and this hilton offer, that’s $530 in my pocket… cha ching. Never mind the HHonors double bonus points promotion going on right now and my Amex Surpass 12 points/$1 on Hilton properties. So glad that this offer they are including more than a select Hilton brand. Last few have been quite limited.

Doesn’t apply to Hilton Garden Inn. There are several exceptions (read the small print).

My husband is staying at a regular Hilton tonight for 2 nights and I’m hoping to get the $60 credit. His gold card didn’t have the other Hotel bonus thing.

Sort of thinking that Amex is only gonna give out one of those… Be interesting to see if anyone gets both for the same reservation…

Looks like I might move to staying at a Hilton. I do have the option, the HGI is just nicer. Decisions decisions.

Look at the exclusions. HGI is not included nor are other brands. This discount only works at Hilton hotels.

Bah, I missed the Excludes… looked like one long list of hotels.

I wonder if buying hilton gift cards will trigger the statement credit?

My guess: it will work when purchased at the front desk.

I called a dozen of Hiltons. None of them are selling gift cards. Has anyone here purchased hilton gift cards at the front desk? I found that Amex sells Hilton GCs. They don’t sell hilton gift cards at front desks at any of their properties. It’s online only. They’re called hhonor cards I think. Pretty lame. :-/

It’s not in my Hilton credit card! Haha

It’s in three of my cards. I was able to add it to two of the three but when I tried to add to the third one, I get “Sorry about that! It doesn’t happen often, but offers are currently unavailable. Please try again later.”

yes, that was actually really annoying. Why don’t they put it on the Hilton Amex card? 😀
