I wonder if this covers resort fees. I usually get my rooms free and just have to pay the dumb resort fees.
Any charge applied to your room folio will count toward the total, resort fees included.
It will
Reminder that you can apply dining and other charges from any of those properties to your room (e.g., you could eat dinner at Paris and charge the meal to your room at Caesars), so you’re not confined to spending where you’re staying. Makes it a bit easier to meet the requirement.
If I just go to the buffet in Caesars Palace but not book a room, will it be considered as room charges?
I have no personal experience with that, but based on the language in the offer, I doubt it. The buffet probably codes as a restaurant, and it would be easy for Amex to distinguish it from the hotel itself.
Caesar’s buffet will as code restaurant and not as room charge, it says Caesars Bacchanal Buffet on the statement.
I was told via Amex chat that the amount has to be reached on a single hotel bill.
(always though you could have multiple stays within the promo time frame that add up to the spend requirement, but guess not.)
Disappointing since I got 2 short stays this summer for around $100 each…
Just got $10 complementary food credit for skipping housekeeping on a two day stay at Bally’s Atlantic City. There is a sign on the table towards “VIP check-in” at check-in. Tell them when they give you the keys.
I got a complimentary drink voucher from cashier at Bally’s sports book for placing a sports bet over $50. Voucher
Those cost them much less than your $50 bet.
my rate comes out to $199.10 incl. resort fees 🙄
any ideas on how i can hit $200 exactly, or as close as possible?
Just buy some food and charge it to the room.
Buy something CHEAP at any restaurant, shop, etc. Watch a movie in your room.
Better idea SpicyPad: should figure out how to be diamond level from status match.. all resort fees waived
So.. Basically, you can get your resort fee waived by AMEX
Unless you do not pay resort fees – which many people do not.
My offer on the Gold card is 4000 MR points for $200 spend on room rate and room charges. Added it for my trip next month.
Targeted, but worth noting you can add from the Amex Connect portal as well, which often gives you the choice to add it to cards you may not see it on to add through your account login.

This is normally used for Amex cards issued by other banks, but it is a known trick that you can enter your Amex issued card number and it will prompt you to log in and pick which card to add it to.
Trip is on 1/23/19, bastards are trolling me.
Should be able to call in and pay in advance
I just saw Movie “Brian Banks” in my Caesar’s hotel room. Worth it.
Can you buy a gift card and use it to pay the room later. I know the terms state otherwise but wanted to see if anyone bought one and got credit for it.
