Bank of America has announced that the Sonesta card will be discontinued. Important details are as follows:
- Program will officially end on 2/12/26
- Annual fee will be refunded if you were charged one from March 2025 onwards
- Anniversary bonus (30,000 points after $7,000 in spend) can still be met and the spend requirement has been reduced to $3,750
- Card will be automatically converted to the Unlimited rewards card
Some readers will have this card from when it offered a 125,000 point bonus. It’s not a huge surprise this card is being discontinued given it stopped accepting applications at the start of 2025.
