The Offer
Many people are reporting receiving a bonus offer from Barclaycard for referring friends to the Arrival Plus Mastercard. This is something new as Barclaycard’s has not been offering refer-a-friend in the past.
- Refer a friend to the Arrival+ Mastercard and receive 5,000 bonus miles for each friend who gets approved. Max of 10 approved referrals will earn a bonus, for a total of 50,000 points.
I didn’t get this offer yet 🙁 but Mileswhip shared his offer with me:
It’s the standard offer with 40,000 point bonus (worth around $420 in travel) and the $89 annual fee waived the first year.
The Fine Print
- Valid only until 12/23/15
- Max 50,000 bonus miles
Our Verdict
This offer is on par with the standard offers by other card issuers – in the $50/5,000-point area. With point-earning cards this can actually be worth much more since 5,000 points can get a value much more than $50, but with the Arrival+ the 5,000 points is worth only slightly more than $50; when being redeemed for travel it will net around $53 per referral after accounting for the 5% travel bonus. When redeemed for a statement credit it will net around $26.
