Reader, Fiby just sent me an e-mail to let me know that the US Airways credit card is no longer being advertised on the Barclaycard homepage. In addition that the official landing page will show the following error:
Now it’s still possible to apply for this card by using the following URL:Â https://www.worldgotbigger.com/us-airways-credit-card/Â or by using an affiliate or referral link. We know that this card will be available until at least April 12th (Update: Physix fan reports some people having deadlines of April 17th), as people have received correspondence asking them to apply before that deadline.
I imagine Barclaycard are just getting prepared to replace the US Airways card with the new American Airline Aviator cards. Typically Barclaycard don’t remove credit cards from their official site unless that card is disappearing (like they’ve done with their Best Western credit card).
Regardless of what they are doing, there is no need to panic. At the very least you should have until April 12th to apply for this card, although I still suspect you’ll be able to sign up after this date (and I think that going forward you’ll be able to apply for the AA Aviator cards directly, we’ll see if I’m right).
