Avoiding Fees
The NBA checking account does not come with any monthly fees. There is also an early account termination fee of $25 if you close your account within 180 days of account opening
Our Verdict
They used to offer the same bonus, but you also got $25/$50/$75 for just opening the checking account (depending on your state). The majority of this bonus is in the form of NBAstore gift cards, which can only be resold for 66% of face value. Because of that I don’t really think this bonus is worth doing, especially when they are so many better bonuses out there. The only advantage of this bonus is that it’s available nationwide. It might be worth considering purely for the $5,000 in credit card funding you can do though, if you used a 2% card you’d earn $100 on the funding alone.
