Our Verdict
This is a nice offer as it should be easy to find something for around $20 or to use it as a discount on a larger item. Technically, you can buy gift cards on bestbuy.com and cash out the $20 credit that way, but reportedly they’ve been cancelling gift card orders. Currently, Bestbuy.com is offering free shipping throughout the holiday season and thus shipping cost shouldn’t be an issue even for small purchases.
The biggest issue right now (11/1/15 noon EST) is that the Visa Checkout site is glitchy and isn’t working for most people. I’m going to give them a little rest and try later in the day; hopefully, the traffic will have slowed down and it will process properly. It’s unclear how long this offer will be around, but it should last at least until the end of today, Sunday, similar to the NFL offer last week which lasted the whole day. My guess is it will last even longer as on that offer they advertised heavily that it was one day only and they aren’t indicating as such for this offer.
