Our Verdict
The deal is only useful for those who can easily use up the Newegg credit and keep in mind that they expire after one year). Go through a shopping portal and hope to get another 2x Ultimate Rewards or 2% cash back; although gift cards could be excluded in the terms, you may get a pleasant surprise.
People are a bit desperate to get hold of eBay gift cards now that the Target route died (yup, it died again). Assuming the $10 Newegg code has value to you, 5% + 2x isn’t bad for an eBay gift card. And I imagine it would get 3x with ATT as well (no promises there).
Note that you can’t use Newegg gift cards to buy third party gift cards. Also, note that the eBay gift cards will come within minutes of the order.
