How To Buy Gift Cards Online With A Checking Account

In this post we will show how to purchase gift cards online with a checking account. I’m not entirely sure why, but a lot of people are looking for ways to do this (if you know why, let us know in the comments). I’d personally recommend using a credit card if you have one, as that way you can earn credit card rewards on your purchase as well.

Amazon

Amazon lets you reload your Amazon credit balance with a checking account, some people are even offered a 2% bonus for doing so (check to see if you’re targeted here). In addition to this Amazon also sells third party gift cards, you can currently purchase these gift cards with your Amazon balance giving you a variety of choices.

Alternatively you can just purchase third party gift cards directly with Amazon, when your select payment options choosing checking account will be an option.

Credit Unions

Some credit unions will allow you to purchase Visa gift cards with your checking account balance, but you have to have an account with them. If you have an account with a credit union, ask if they have this feature.

Paypal

You can link your Paypal account to your checking account and then use your Paypal account to make gift card purchases. eBay sells a wide variety of gift cards, often at a discount. CardCash also allows you to pay via Paypal.

Let me know if you know of any other places you can purchase gift cards with a checking account in the comments.
