AT&T Class Settlement
The lawsuit concerns AT&T customers in California who purchased post-paid wireless service data plans from AT&T and were charged an Administrative Fee. Plaintiffs alleged, generally, that AT&T’s representations and advertisements regarding the price of its post-paid wireless service plans were misleading because the prices did not include the Administrative Fee, and that AT&T implemented, charged, and increased the Administrative Fee in a deceptive and unfair manner. AT&T states that it will continue to charge the Administrative Fee and contends that it has the right to increase the Administrative Fee.

If you received a notice of this settlement by mail, email, or text message, you are in the Settlement Class according to AT&T’s records.

Final Verdict
Hopefully an easy $20 for AT&T postpaid customers from California. It sounds like this ‘administrative fee’ was charged to all postpaid customers from California, but maybe I’m misreading that.
Hat tip to JDBAZ
I think I paid more than $200 of Administrative Fee in total during all those years…
I remember this fee because I filed arbitration on this, as did many people on the old FatWallet Finance forum (RIP). I ditched AT&T when T-Mobile service improved and they offered a good deal on their Hook Up. I did not win arbitration, https://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1795025-New-Mobility-Administrative-Fee
What a fuckin joke.
Looks like the 1% is immune to any rules and laws.
We need a fucking revolution
So… they’ll continue charging the fee, but give you $20 to go away… regardless of how many months they charged you this fee.
