Capital One QuickSilver Mastercard To Remove Various Credit Card Benefits (Extended Warranty, Price Protection, Car Rental Insurance & More)

Capital One sent out notice that the following benefits are being removed from their QuickSilver cards beginning September 1, 2021:

  • Price Protection
  • Extended Warranty
  •  MasterRental Coverage
  • Travel Assistance Services, RoadAssist Services, Travel Accident Insurance

This notice has been sent out on the QuickSilver card; let us know if you got it on any other card. Just last year Capital One added Price Protection, and it’s now being removed from QuickSilver at least.

Update: Readers note that this change might only be affecting the QuickSilver Mastercard, not the more common QuickSilver Visa.

Most of these benefits were removed from many other cards under the Mastercard umbrella back in 2019, but some issuers had kept the benefits even after the generic Mastercard benefits discontinued them.

Hat tip to reader Matt and to r/creditcards
