Our Verdict
We just saw a $1,500 after $15,000 in spend offer. Given the card itself earns 2% cash back, that offer is significantly better although I guess not everybody can meet that spend requirement. Capital One pulls all 3 bureaus on applications. Check out these Things To Know about Capital One Credit Cards. The Plus version does not get reported to the credit bureas whereas this non-Plus Spark card that we’re discussing here does get reported.
I hear it is hard to get approved from Cap One. Any recent positive DPs?
Does anyone know if you can apply with a different ‘EIN’ or a ‘2nd business’ if you already have this card, would you be eligible? I know I see the terms it says current and past holders aren’t eligible…

They approved me for this card when I had a score around 800. It kinda seems like Spark Cash is easier to get approved for than other Capital One cards, but I have limited data points. They rejected me for Venture, though that was a few years ago.

But is it the same spark cash card as in OP? I ask because I have a new EIN for a seperate business and I’m considering applying but the “one time’ bonus scares me, spending 10K on purchases and finding out, you’re not eligible .
I got this card back in July of 2021, how often can I be eligible for the SUB?

You will earn a $1,000 bonus if you spend at least $10,000 within 3 months of your rewards membership enrollment date. Once you qualify for this bonus, we will apply it to your rewards balance within two billing cycles. Existing or previous Accountholders may not be eligible for this one-time bonus.
The word is may. It is very vague. I was told some time ago that it means that that you will not get it if you got a reward within the previous year (at that time I got the reward). I can’t get a straight answer now…
