Our Verdict
I signed up earlier this year for the $1,500/$20,000 offer. This offer gives $2,000/$30,000 and most people will likely consider it a better offer. Useful for those with a lot of upcoming spend. Another option is a similar bonus on the Venture X Business card.
The added $2,000/$500,000 might also be interesting for those with huge amounts of spend – this can basically turn the card into a 2.4% card (instead of the regular 2%).
Remember, Capital One pulls all 3 credit bureaus. Unlike most Capital One business cards, Spark Cash cards do not report the statement balances to the personal bureaus; see these Things to Know About Capital One Credit Cards before applying. We’ll add this to our List of Best Credit Card Signup Bonuses.

Late to the party but I wanted to add a couple of things:
Just like every other card, spending limits will wildly vary from one person to the next and depend on a variety of factors (income, credit report, spending habits on other Cap1 cards, etc.). The only difference is that they don’t show the actual limit, although there are a couple of ways to get some insights into it:
Hope this helps.
Add the card to paypal and pay fed tax through Paypal can get the lower tier fee on one of the two processors, I don’t remember which one of the two though
Don’t know if this went anywhere, but this offer is either back or still available? Cap 1 says new as of today 2/20 but it isn’t clear to me whether this $2k/$30k offer ever went away.
There’s no spending limit , so how much can I charge? Probably don’t want to do all 30k in the first month, maybe 10k each month?
I’m also interested in this as I’m looking to do the $30k spend for my tax payments.

Would it be possible to prepay the card to go into a negative balance, then charge more than $5k?
I know that cycling through your credit limit within a month (charge $5k, pay off $5k, charge $5k, etc) will get you into trouble with most issuers, I assume that’s the case with Capital One as well?
edit – I mentioned $5k comment 1893675 said the first month spend is limited to that amount
I only spent a few hundred on before my first statement closed. I was able to charge over 10k in tax payment after my first statement.
Thanks
Morris. Is it accurate that this card doesn’t provide a credit limit, but rather a tool that indicates whether your planned purchase will go through? Would your 10k payment have been rejected during the first statement period?
They do not show the spending limit on the website. Yes, they have a tool to let you to enter an amount for pre-approval.
I didn’t really plan my 10k+ tax payment after the first statement, it’s just my first statement ended only 2 weeks after I opened my account.
I’m a similar situation. Have about a 30k spend for taxes I need to do so I was eying this. If I apply end of january, I’ll have it by april and at least past the first statement but within 3 months period for the SUB.
1.87% fee on 30k is $561.
But I think there is a 2% back on purchases which is $600 effectively negating it.
So you’d be getting $2040 out of it before taxes for 2025. Seems effective?
That’s my plan if it makes sense for me to take the penalty for not paying estimated taxes in mid-January.
whoops there’s also the $150 annual fee for the card itself. And I think the CC fee at pay1040 is now 1.75%
Yes you should be fine. My hidden limit was $30k exactly! If its a little over you may or may not have an issue.
Oh okay, that’s pretty high. On other forums, I was seeing that people with legitimate established businesses had pretty low credit limits.
Do you mind sharing if you have a real business? I would be applying as a sole prop, although I’ve had significant cash balances at CO for years.
Real business EIN. Your sole prop may limit you.
Do the Capital One cards code as a purchase for Bank Account and CD funding?
Why people say it is a subpar offer? 2000 (SUB) + 600 (2% on spend) – 150 (AF) = 2450. Seems better than most Amex offers, albeit with harder approval and higher spend. Am I missing anything?
I think it’s good but does have a high spend requirement and is a net 8.x% on spend, whereas some Amex biz card bonus offers are a much better return % on lower spend.
Is Capital one Spark Cash new? I don’t see posts about it.
Earn unlimited 2% cash back on every purchase. Plus, earn a $750 cash bonus when you spend $7,500 in the first 3 months.

Does anyone know, can I get the sign up bonus if I have had this card before, received the bonus and cancelled it?
Can anyone please confirm if Spark Cash Plus shows up on personal credit report? I read all of the comments here but so far, it looks like it doesn’t but I don’t see clear DP or information to risk one 5/24 spot. Thank you all Churners!
Did you find out? I think I saw DPs of the Business Spark Cash “Select” did so Im presuming “Plus” does
Rejection DP: 3/24 (and 1/30), new sole prop ($40k revenue this year), no business checking accounts (which was one reason they cited), about 4/6 on HPs. TU and EQ FICO are both ~800 (left EX frozen, which they didn’t mention as a reason for rejection).
