Our Verdict

I got this offer via email and others did as well. Not sure if it was sent to all Amazon Prime Visa from Chase cardholders or targeted. It probably was not sent to those who already have their cards saved in Apple Pay.

I’ll do $150 at the grocery store to trigger this offer. Technically it would be more optimal to do the spend on gas, restaurants, or transit which earns 2% back. In-store Wholes Foods purchases should work as well and would earn 5% cashback, so that’s the most optimal. I’m not aware of any way to do this deal for Amazon purchases, though you can buy an Amazon gift cards at Whole Foods to fully optimize.

I’d assume it’s possible to do this offer completely online as well by making an online Apple Pay purchase.
