According to USA Today Chase & Southwest have extended their credit card partnership.
Southwest also announced a new co-brand loyalty agreement with Chase, which is expected to contribute to the airlines’ profitability. Details were not revealed on that either.
Southwest is also launching a new fare class that will sit between ‘Wanna Get Away’ and ‘Anytime’.

What's this going to have, EBCI?
Good question. Really the only things Anytime gets above WGA are full refundability, same-day change/standby, and 10x instead of 6x.
Hopefully they don't nerf WGA just to create the new fare class, but I'm thinking that's what will happen unless they just decide to bundle Early Bird like you said.
"A new co-brand loyalty agreement with Chase" refers to what? Another Chase Southwest CC?
Looks like they might have, unless I just never noticed its existence: Rapid Rewards Plus Business https://creditcards.chase.com/southwest/plus-business-credit-card
bad news. chase had played games with my accounts for years. no longer have anything with them. would have liked to get the sw card from a good card issuer
Were you playing games with their terms and conditions by chance?
Was hoping chase would lose it, so can get card despite 5/24
Chase has recently been approving people for the SW cards even if over 5/24.
I wonder how much this is related to the recent relaxation of 5/24 on the Southwest (and other) cards. It might just be a coincidence, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some connection.
They didn't relax it with me. Applied a few days ago with 800+ FICO, 1% utilization, 5+years AAOA, and 6/24. Denied for too many accounts opened in the past 2 years. Seems like it is hit and miss.
@guest_1297240 What are your X/12 and X/6 numbers?
I was denied as well and called to request a reconsideration--it was approved.
How many X/24 were you?
