Citi Dividend Visa To Be Converted To Mastercard

Current Citi Dividend Visa holders have been sent a letter informing them that their existing card will be converted to a Citi Dividend Mastercard card in early August. The new card should arrive in the next 4-6 weeks. This is probably good news for Citi Dividend cardholders as a whole, I don’t think they would bother changing payment networks for old cardholders if they planned to discontinue the card anytime soon.

Chuck  William Charles seems like conversions to citi dividend are no longer allowed. i tried converting aa plat and citi premier to dividend, both times given a hard no. recent reddit DPs seem to confirm this. not surprising, but good to know

My Dividend was already converted from Visa to MC earlier this year, I think it was May-ish.

I’ve been told twice this week by Citi reps that PCs from Prestige to Dividend are no longer offered. Anyone have similar/opposing DPs? Trying to dump my Prestige before the higher AF drops in Sept and I already have a DC.

Citibank inked a deal with MasterCard similar to the one that Chase signed with Visa. Meaning, all proprietary Citi cards (and not partner cards like Best Buy, Macys/Bloomies and Costco) with be converted to MasterCard. My Diamond Preferred Visa was changed to a MasterCard last year. I was bummed because that was my first Visa card but other than the MasterCard and new account number, nothing else changed and still reports as opened in 1998.

MC seems to keep losing share of the market to Visa.

Anyone know if this will be a World Elite MC? I currently have Citi Premiere but I’m trying to find a no annual fee World Elite MC to get the $10 Lyft credit. I applied for Capital One Savor but was denied due to lol/24 & I have a Capital One card but they wouldn’t PC me. Thanks!

Dividend is mostly a World Elite Mastercard. However, if you are issued a World Mastercard you can call and ask if you can be changed to World Elite.

Probably depends upon how high your CL is.
