Typo??? Citi Prestige Now Redeems for United at 1.6 Cents?

Via Flyertalk, there is now wording on Citi’s website indicating that the Prestige card can be used to book United flights at 1.6 cents per point. “60% more value on American Airlines or United Airways flights.” Previously, only American and US Airways got that rate.

However, on the same page, there is a similar wording of, “60% more value on American Airlines or US Airways flights”. Unclear, if the United is an update or a typo.

Big, big, big, if true…

Certainly a typo, as there is no “United Airways” company, only United Airlines. Though, I’m surprised it still even mentions US Airways, hasn’t that merger completed already?

Add me to the “definitely a typo” camp.

It’s definitely a typo, it says “US Airways” everywhere else and if it were true it would be “United Airlines”, not “United Airways”.

Maybe Citi will hand out points for the mistake? I already got 5k points from the 3x gas debacle so I would feel bad begging for more though…

I just tried to go to the “Flights” section of the thankyou website, and it’s down. They’re probably fixing it now.

This is the same typo level of BS that had the Prestige listing 3x TYPs on gas spending on the Prestige or the $0 minimum spend glitch for various cards. Chances are it’s just Citi and their sloppy system.
