I received this bonus offer (20x TYP for $500+ restaurant/gas/grocery spend each month from Jan to Mar, 12000 TYP max) and activated on Jan 15. I exceeded the spend threshold each month, and received the 12k TYP bonus for Jan spend on my Mar statement, like clockwork,

BUT, my April statement closed and no bonus. When I called, and was transferred around to different departments, they reiterated that bonus points post 2 statements after spending requirements are met. When I pointed out that didn’t happen this time I was told to wait for the next statement. I was also told that their system automatically awards points, and there is no manual review for missing points.

I’ve received & done these same restaurant/gas/grocery bonuses on this card for the last 3 years, spend threshold met during each calendar month (not statement month) and the bonus always posts on the second statement. This has been true for single category or timeframe or multiple month recurring bonuses like this one, except this time.

I don’t know what’s changed on their end, but it will change my spending patterns. I had already received and activated another restaurant/gas/grocery bonus (15x, 7500 max/mo in April, May, June), and these offers and bonuses have overlapped in the past. However, I will not be spending a dime on this card in April and probably not in May either. If 12000 TYP post on my May statement I’ll have no way of knowing if it was for March spend or if it’s only catching up to Feb spend. I will get 4x MR for grocery & restaurant spending every single day on AmEx gold, and courtesy points & an apology on the rare occasion that a merchant doesn’t code properly.

TL;DR
Bonus points did not post for qualified spending, Citi will not manually review it.

Try secure messaging to resolve your question. I have the same issue (didn’t receive my February bonus points on my April statement), and secure messaging confirmed in writing that I am eligible for the bonus and will receive the points on my May statement.

I tried that, and they said the same as when I called: wait for the next statement to close. May statement just closed and… no bonus points. I’m now missing two months of 12k bonus points, and a 10k bonus from another promo I activated in January, that should all have posted by now per their terms.

No more spend on this card. Congrats, Citi, all those interchange fees are going to your competitors from now on. F U

J T Lmk did either of you get your points at all? I am missing points for a promotion that ended on 3/31. As usual, they take 2 billing cycles after the promotional period, but nothing posted in my last statement 🙁

Lmk Thanks for the update. I assume you didn’t have to follow up or anything? I am waiting for points from a promotion that ended in March. If I can, I wan’t to avoid contacting them and drawing attention. Hopefully they all post in the June statement.

No, I did the secure messaging and they confirmed that I was eligible to receive the points based on my spend for the month. They said the points would post during the next billing cycle and they did. No further follow up necessary. So I actually received my February and March points together on my May statement.

Anyone know if Plastiq count as online purchase to earn the 10%?
I made a plastiq payment in Feb, probably not going to show the credit until my April statement if it counted.

On 12/30, received statement credit for $100 for customer appreciation promo and also $120 statement credit for gas, grocery, restaurant promo. They also awarded me thank you points for all the purchases that didn’t qualify for the promo. The promos were supposed to award thank you points, but they gave statement credits instead. It is like a Christmas present.

Does anyone know getting chevron gift card at the gas station eligible for this offer?

Cora Provided the transaction codes as “gas stations” when you look in the register it should count. I buy gift cards as a part of my grocery order and those always count. It just has to code correctly which you can see when you look at the transaction online.

Has anyone been able to convert the SYW card to TYP card recently? Applied and was approved back in October. Called to convert the card multiple times and got denied every time.

When exactly did you get this converted? If you can give some more details, that’d be useful. Supervisor’s name would be even better

The November spending bonus that was offered as a cash credit (get $100 for spending $750+) just posted to my account today. That’s pretty fast for them it seems.

I got the 20x promo for gas/grocery/restaurants with $500 min spend, max $750.

I got the offer 1 day AFTER I cleaned up by 0% balance that I was carrying on this.

Maybe that was a coincidence but who knows.

Basically same thing here… Wasn’t zero balance but was charging <$25 for two consecutive months… Then got the same promo as you and also the "November Spending Bonus" (spend $1k on anything to get 10,000 pts).

My 40,000 points (for the 20x month for Nov & Dec) hit my statement this week + the 10,000 Nov spending bonus for a total of 50,000+.

This has to be one of the best credit cards out there for rewards (granted best value is for gift cards vs. statement credits/cash back) and no wonder Sears is doing so badly. I've had this card now for 14 years and love that I'm basically going to be able to hand these gift cards out as Christmas presents (currently $1,400 worth).
