Discover has released their 5% categories for the year of 2022:
- Q1: Grocery Stores and Fitness Club & Gym Memberships
- Q2: Gas Stations and Target
- Q3: Restaurants and PayPal
- Q4: Amazon.com and Digital Wallets
These are nice categories. Q1 has grocery which is nice. Q2 I don’t find very useful given the REDcard already earns 5% at Target, and Gas purchases are more limited. Paypal for Q3 is nice and Digital Wallets for Q4 is nice.
