Our Verdict
A 10% discount (up to $25 in value [$250 * 10%]) might be valuable on gift cards for personal use or possibly for reselling.
But for reselling, I’m not sure how to best maximize. From a quick look: no Best Buy is offered, believe Amazon is restricted/not available on regular purchases, and max eVGCs is $100 with a $5.95 fee. Maybe there is an eGifter expert in the audience who can find more value.
Having to use Bitcoin complicates the deal (and adds cost). I have a bunch of BTC wallets from the various crypto promotions DoC has covered [a lot of wallets, not a lot of Bitcoin 🙂 ], but eGifter relies on BitPay for crypto processing and it appears that they only allow a subset of the popular wallets (they particularly like payment protocol enabled wallets). When I used my Blockchain BTC Wallet, I was able to pay for the transaction by copying the BitPay invoice URL to the Blockchain Send To box. The BTC network fee for the transaction was $0.71.
So in the end, I was able to get things to work, but ended up with about zero profit 🙂 Maybe you see more value than me.
