ESPN+ To Launch With 30 Day Trial For American Express Cardholders

Small correction: It looks like the American Express free trial will apply to non cardholders as well.

ESPN+ is a new streaming service set to launch this Thursday. American Express will be the official launch partner and cardholders will be eligible for a free 30 day trial of the new service, those without an American Express card will receive a seven day free trial. The service costs $4.99 per month. More information regarding ESPN+ can be found here. Not sure how useful the service will actually be considering it won’t include ESPN’s core sports rights and access to NHL/MLB out of market sports packages will be sold as an add on.

I guess the 30 day trial will be enough to decide if it’s worth keeping or not, but again it doesn’t look like it will be.
