- File taxes with HR Block and get up to a 10% bonus if you opt to receive your refund in the form on an Amazon e-gift card
The bonus will be either 5% or 10% depending on which software you choose.
The Fine Print
- In previous offers, the 10% bonus was for Deluxe and Premium plans, while the Basic plan got 5%. I assume it’s the same this year, but they don’t give many details.
- In previous offers there was a limit of a $900 gift card bonus (a $9,000 tax refund).
Our Verdict
The 5% deal probably isn’t worth it, but 10% off Amazon is a nice deal. Obviously, won’t work for a lot of people who use professional tax preparers.
I can’t yet find a dedicated HR Block offer page; the offer is only showing along with the product on Amazon. Last year, it was possible to get other gift card options besides Amazon; we’ll have to see if they offer that this year as well – so far it’s just Amazon. I imagine we’ll see an official offer page eventually.
You can check back to see the price on Amazon for this software; currently it’s selling for $35, but apparently it’s on sale for less recently.
