The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Melio business bill payments is offering Doctorofcredit readers $3,000 in free payment processing for new customers.

Melio is a bill payment service for businesses to pay other businesses (e.g. their vendors), not for personal payments.

The Fine Print

  • New users only.
  • Valid until December 31st 2020 OR up to 5,000 users.
  • $3,000 in processing credit will post automatically.
  • Be sure to use up the $3,000 in processing credit by December 31st.

Our Verdict

Given the 2.9% processing fee, this would be a value of $87 which is quite generous for a no-requirement signup bonus. They’ve been offering $2,500 in free processing for new business users, and they reached out with a special for Doctorofcredit readers to bump that up to $3,000. Read our review of Melio here.

they had asked me for a w9. they want proof that i entered my “business” on my taxes. how do you guys handle this if you’re trying to establish a business for things like this?

honestly, w ppk, this may not even be worth the hassle anymore since they said that i can only pay a portion of my rent with them and it has to be the amt that i put on my taxes.

Like everyone else said don’t waste your time period I set up two payments with them and they canceled both of them. This has to be a legit business paying for goods and services not your mortgage or car payment.

Do not waste your time. Your payment will get cancelled and they won’t respond to inquires about it.

FYI – This is only for businesses to pay their bills. They seem to individually review transactions, especially the first one. They cancelled my attempt to pay rent with it. Be prepared to provide proof that you have a business and that the bill you are paying has been issued to that business.

If your landlord has a small LLC would this work for payment to them? Or does it have to be like a larger business?
