Thanks for this. I sent a package and posted the link a few places where people will see it.

Sent a care package as well. I have been deployed and know how cool it is to get mail, even if it’s corny reading or some airplane-sized snacks . Suggestions on things to write, besides “get home safe” – a silly joke, some random facts about you, or a little bit about the latest movie you went to see.

I put a real e-mail address, just in case they do send the e-mail to the service member… because never know, they might write back. Nowadays even remote locations have access to e-mail, at least occasionally.

I used a real email id for the same reason. I am hoping I won’t get spammed but in case I do, I have trained my spam filter well so it can deal with it 🙂

Sent the free care package. Just added a note and entered a fake email address. Simple gesture that can hopefully make someone smile. Hopefully a few of us can do it.
