Family forced to sit on plane floor after airline allocated them seats which didn’t exist, it emerges by The Telegraph. Looks like there was one real set left and then the two adults had to use crew jump seats during take off and landing, only to be kicked out of those seats so the crew could access duty free and food/beverage items. It’s crazy they were only offered £30 initially due to no record of the incident, surely the crew would have reported it to avoid it happening again? Looks like the airline could have avoided the negative PR and the investigation if they had just fully refunded the family to begin with.

Really? The whole sitting in the flight attendant seats isn’t against FAA regulations? That seems like a big no-no.

This wasn’t in the US nor on US-registered metal, so the FAA has nothing to do with this. But you knew this when you read the article, right?

Hey, DoC, any way to block Spirit and Ryanair executives’ computers from accessing that article about the family sitting on the floor? I’m afraid they might get some revenue-enhancing ideas that involve selling aisle space or the bathroom floor space.
