Rocketmiles (Hotel Booking Site) Partners With Uber

Rocketmiles is a hotel booking website that lets you earn airline miles from a variety of programs (similar to PointsHound & Kaligo). They have added a new partner, but this time it’s Uber rather than another airline. This isn’t that surprising as they branched out to Amazon previously as well. What is somewhat surprising is that there is no launch bonus for the Uber partnership, so you’ll just get the standard up to $100 per night (in general the more expensive a property the more you’ll get back).

Priceline purchased Rocketmiles in early 2015. I’m not a fan of any of these hotel booking websites that offer miles or other rewards, I find them overpriced especially when compared to sites like Hotels.com (every 10th night free and portal rewards). For those that chase hotel loyalty these sites do not typically earn elite credits or have your elite status recognized either.

I agree with you on these types of hotels. Only time I have used one was for a booking I needed for work. I’d get reimbursed anyways, so I did the AA mile promo. I’ll be getting 5,000 AA miles, instead of the couple thousand IHG points I would’ve gotten (small town with not many options). But I’m sure I won’t use Rocketmiles again.
